The Rules are Changing - Christchurch and Nationwide
In Christchurch, the Council has recently changed the town plan to allow for more minor dwellings on smaller sized sections. Effectively, any section in Christchurch over 450m2 is permitted a minor dwelling. That means you can increase your return on investment (ROI) – by placing more rental properties on one site. Add a minor dwelling and you can look forward to an increased ROI of about 10-20% – on the main house alone.
